IAC Advertising Solutions has switched ad servers, abandoning DoubleClick in favor of aQuantives Atlas.
The ad sales division of IAC/InterActiveCorp said its goal in making the move was to consolidate IACs myriad Web properties into a single media ad serving platform using the latest available technology. It said the move to Atlas will allow it to offer advertisers better access to more than 60 million unique IAC users each month, a June audience figure reported by comScore Media Metrix.
IAC owns Ask, Excite, Expedia, Hotwire, iWon, Live Daily, Match Ticketmaster, TicketWeb, Match.com, Citysearch and Evite. It characterizes its audience as “busy mothers, trendy singles, established professionals, tech-savvy consumers and affluent couples.”
The deal is a big win for Atlas and for Microsoft, which anticipates completing its acquisition of aQuantive by the end of the year.

Yahoo agreed to buy advertising network Blue Lithium for $300 million this week, a deal that adds to a string of industry acquisitions and signals a growing new direction for online ads.Blue Lithium, based in San Jose, Calif., specializes in selling performance-based display ads across a network of Web sites. Like search-related text ads, performance banners let advertisers pay for exposure to customers only when people respond to the ad, whether it’s by agreeing to receive more information or by taking some action. The privately held company, which also sells behavioral targeted ads, is ranked the fifth largest ad network in the United States and second largest in the United Kingdom.

TradeDoubler announced today, July 26th, 2007, the acquisition of the IMW Group, with the two search marketing companies The Search Works and The Technology works. The acquisition places TradeDoubler as one of the largest online marketing companies in Europe.
The acquisition provides a lot of synergies for TradeDoubler and the acquired IMW Group. The product offerings are complimentary to each other, and the acquisition extends TradeDoubler’s reach to the Asian markets, from previously only in Europe.
For TradeDoubler clients, this means business s usual in the short term, where the extended product offering and reach will provide benefits for clients in the long term. The brands will be managed independently.
